From the rising hip-hop scene of Calgary, AB emerges The EquAzn, an MC who's stellar written material rivals the dopeness of the battle rhymes he originally became known for. EQ (Scott Lee) emerged on the local hip-hop scene when he debuted at the prestigious MC Eliminator battle in 2003, as a last minute entry. Though forced to start in the preliminaries, Scott won the event leaving over 50 competitors in the dust. Since then, EQ has proven that victory to be no fluke, winning the MC Showdown , as well as 3 of the 4 Step in the Arena competitions which he has entered.

In 2005, EQ will graduate to the next level with the release of his debut album, "Every Little Bit Counts." The songs, which feature production from the Mantrakid, as well as a host of other producers from around the globe, will showcase EQ's talents, proving that he is from the rare breed of battle rappers who can prove to be just as introspective and intelligent on record as they are vicious on stage. Clever wordplay and a well-crafted delivery technique prove to be two of the EQ's most dangerous weapons.

As a hard working founding member of Calgary's Audible Intelligence collective, EQ is currently one of the most recognizable faces on the local scene, supporting and collaborating with many of the most prominent performers in the 403 area code and beyond. EQ has impressed many heads with his hype stage performances, both as a solo act, and alongside fellow Audible Intelligence members Mantrakid and Ricca Razor Sharp. As evidenced by the title of his forthcoming album "Every Little Bit Counts" EQ is a hard working MC, who's passion is immediately evident to the listener. Those in the know are excitedly waiting for the album's release, and are always watching for the EQ on stage.
